That thing in the Onion is pretty funny. As far as Brian the messiah, this is my favorite scene, and I think it might be an even better expression of the phenomenon that’s bothering you. Regarding the LieStoppers reaction, I thought that would be the way they would react. It did surprise me that there were several posters with reasonable and cautious optimism in their posts. Perhaps some on both sides are already moving towards the center.
